An Indian who violated his visa regulations by overstaying in Sri Lanka and behaved in an unruly manner wooing an underage Sri Lankan girl was arrested by the Kandy Tourist Police.
Police said the suspect had been staying in Sri Lanka even after the expiry of his visa.
He had proposed to an underage girl in Wattegama area and quarrelled with her parents seeking their consent.
The 26-year-old suspect Rajah Mohamed was arrested at the Kandy main bus stand.
He was to be produced in court.
