A street food vendor was arrested by the Police after attempting to charge a foreign customer an exorbitant amount for a Kottu Roti.
The altercation began when the vendor demanded Rs. 1,900 for the dish, leading to harassment when questioned about the price.
The incident, captured on camera and shared on social media, highlights concerns about overcharging and harassment of tourists.
Police said the 52-year-old suspect, a resident of Colombo 12 would be produced in court tomorrow.
