Police apprehended a group of school students who organized an alcohol party in an abandoned building in Welimada.
Welimada Police conducted a raid on the building following received information. Five schoolboys and two schoolgirls were detained for alcohol consumption, which they obtained at inflated prices.
Upon further questioning, they told the police that they had gathered in the abandoned building under the guise of attending tuition classes, but instead had organized an alcohol party. It has been revealed that the group gained entry to the building by breaking the locks.
The Welimada Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
