At least 29 students studying at the Nugegalaya Kotalawala Faculty of Defence Science in Sewanagala have been admitted to Sooriyawewa Regional Hospital due to food poisoning.
According to hospital sources, there are 26 male students and 03 female students among the people admitted to the hospital.
A spokesperson of Sooriyawewa Hospital said that it is suspected that some type of fried fish that was eaten at night may have dissolved.
He further said that the condition of the students is not serious.
