The Public Utilities Commission has declared a substantial reduction in electricity tariffs, amounting to 21.9 percent.
Addressing the media, commission officials outlined the details of the revised tariff structure, which promises considerable relief for consumers across various usage brackets.
Under the new tariff scheme, consumers utilizing less than 30 units of electricity will benefit from a notable reduction, with the per-unit rate dropping from Rs. 12 to Rs. 8. Additionally, households consuming between 60 and 90 units will experience a significant 30 percent reduction in their electricity bills.
