Eight Sri Lankans, who were held captive at an illicit cyber center camp in Myanmar, have been rescued.
Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Myanmar, Janak Bandara said the rescue operation was carried out with the intervention of the Myanmar government.
He said that the rescued individuals are presently detained at the Myawaddy Central Police Station in Myanmar.
He also mentioned that efforts are underway to repatriate the rescued individuals.
