The Elpitiya Police discovered a motorcycle burnt to ashes, suspected to be the one used by the killers to arrive and murder Karandeniya PHI Deepal Roshan Kumara near the Palu Palama area in Uragaha, Horawala on the 29th.
Following information from local residents, the Police initiated an investigation into the motorcycle. Elpitiya Police indicated that they suspect this motorcycle was used in the murder of Karandeniya PHI.
A senior police officer told Zira Daily that there is suspicion that this act was intended to mislead investigations, and it has not been ruled out.
A team of officers, including Elpitiya HQI Anura Wijesinghe, is conducting further investigations with the Special Crimes Investigation Department and the Special Task Force, under the supervision of senior Police officers.
