Maligakanda Magistrate Lochani Abewickrama Weerasinghe has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to arrest all remaining suspects within 14 days in connection with the procurement of substandard Human Immunoglobulin vials.
The order was issued during a hearing at the Maligakanda Magistrate Court yesterday. Magistrate Weerasinghe noted that despite investigation reports identifying several primary suspects, they have not yet been detained. Consequently, she instructed the CID to pursue their arrest within the specified timeframe.
Additionally, the Magistrate mentioned that bail decisions for the currently detained suspects will be announced on the designated day.
