Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times in eastern slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central, North-western, Southern,Uvaand Easternprovinces.

Rain Condition:

From Trincomalee through Batticaloa to Pothuvil, there may be scattered showers in the offshore areas. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the coastal areas from Colombo via Galle to Matara in the evening or overnight.

Wind:

Winds are blowing from the north-east direction and the wind speed is 10 km/h. (25-35) is around.

From Colombo to Puttalam and Mannar to Kankasanturai and from Galle to Matara to Hambantota, the wind speed in offshore areas will be 10 to 10 km /h at times. (50-55) may increase.

From Kankasanthuraya to Hambantota via Trincomalee and Pottuvil, the wind speed in the sea areas off the coast will be 100 km/h at times. (40-45) may increase.

Seas offshore from Colombo to Kankasanturai via Puttalam and Mannar and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be rough at times.
