Sri Lanka is set to welcome the annual Bhagwat Gita Mahotsava, scheduled to take place from March 1st to 3rd at the Nelum Pokuna Theater premises in Colombo.

Organized by the Kurukshetra Development Board of Haryana, India, this revered event honors Sri Bhagwat Gita, a sacred Hindu scripture, and encompasses a series of religious ceremonies.

Traditionally held by the banks of the River Saraswati in India, the festival has expanded its reach in recent years, with Sri Lanka chosen as this year's host country.

The Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs has orchestrated the International Gita Mahotsava Buddhasasana, inviting participants from all walks of life to partake in the festivities without any charges.

This cultural celebration promises to be a vibrant homage to Hindu spirituality and a testament to the enduring ties between India and Sri Lanka.
