At least 13 Sri Lankans, including individuals believed to have aided and carried out the shooting that resulted in five deaths in Beliatta, have been arrested in Dubai.
Police sources told Zira Daily that among those detained are reputed criminals 'Uragaha Michael' and 'Boossa Harsha.'
The arrested individuals are reportedly close relatives of the notorious 'Kosgoda Sujee,' suspected of orchestrating the Beliatta shooting.
Police investigations revealed that Kosgoda Sujee is currently attempting to secure the release of the arrested group.
Despite this development, Beliatta Police said that the Sri Lankan government has not yet received official notification from the Dubai authorities regarding these arrests.
