Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle in the evening or night.

Winds:

Wind will be variable and wind speed will be (15-25) kmph in the sea areas around the island.

Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Hambantota and from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.

State of Sea:

Sea areas around the island will be Slight.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Hambantota and from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar can be fairly rough at times.

Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
