The Walana Anti-Vice Squad has arrested a woman, an associate of the notorious underworld figure and drug trafficker ‘Kudu Salindu’ during a raid in Panadura today.
Police said the suspect known by the alias ‘Patta’, has been identified as the sister-in-law of ‘Asitha’, who purportedly manages the drug operations of Salindu Malshika Gunaratne, alias ‘Kudu Salindu’ on Dubai.
The police also recovered 10g of heroin and over Rs. 2 Million in cash from her possession.
It was revealed that ‘Patta’ currently has two other pending court cases for charges related to heroin possession, while her sister and father are also in remanded custody for similar charges.
