The upward trend in Sri Lanka's tea prices has been evident throughout 2024, both in rupee and US dollar terms. According to industry data published by Ceylon Tea Brokers, the national weekly sale average witnessed a notable rise of 29.13 rupees, reaching 1,338.27 rupees per kilogram.
During the seventh week, a total of 4.3 million kilograms were sold through public auction, indicating robust activity in the tea market.
