Four Grade 5 students at a primary school in Maduragoda, Kurunegala, have been hospitalized after consuming an unknown type of drug.
According to police, one of the hospitalized students brought pills hidden by his father to school and shared them with three other students, leading to their admission to Kurunegala General Hospital due to an allergic reaction.
The father of the student who brought the pills is identified as a heroin addict with multiple pending drug cases.
Maduragoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
