Madampe Police arrested an individual who protested by climbing on top of the clock tower in Madampe.
A resident of Madampe Mellawagara village was arrested thus and later admitted to the Madampe Hospital.
The Madampe Police were assisted by local residents when arresting this person and Police also arrested the individual who had attacked this person.
It is reported that the person who climbed the clock tower, has damaged it as well. Madampe Police are conducting further investigations in this connection.
