The Public Security Ministry said that a total of 708 suspects were arrested in 'Yukthiya' operations conducted across the island in the last 24 hours.
Of these, 551 were detained for drug-related offenses, while 157 were apprehended based on criminal division referrals.
Within the cohort of 551 individuals arrested for drug-related offenses, 10 were listed by the Police Narcotics Bureau and Police Special Bureau, with one individual referred to rehabilitation centers.
Regarding the 157 suspects apprehended through criminal division referrals, 37 had outstanding warrants for drug offenses, 93 for non-drug offenses, 21 were wanted for various crimes, and 6 were identified through fingerprints.
