A 51-year-old individual was injured and admitted to the National Hospital in Colombo following a shooting incident on Modara Street in Modara, Colombo, last night.
The victim, identified as a manager at a guest house on Modara Street, was targeted by an unidentified assailant who arrived in a car.
The perpetrator fired at the manager while they were positioned near the guest house gate before fleeing the scene.
Police suspect the use of a pistol in the attack, although the motive behind the shooting remains undisclosed.
Investigations into the incident are underway by the Modara police.
