Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced Najmul Hossain Shanto as the full-time captain for the national team until the end of 2024. 

Shanto's tenure begins with the forthcoming limited-overs series against Sri Lanka, where Bangladesh will host their opponents in six matches next month.

Shanto, known for his solid batting and leadership qualities, will lead a formidable Bangladesh squad comprising seasoned players and promising talents. Notably absent from the squad is Shakib Al Hasan, who continues his recovery from a retinal issue discovered last month.
