The Colombo Additional Magistrate's Court today (07) ordered the release of notorious underworld figure ‘Kudu Roshan’ and his younger brother, who were arrested and remanded in custody at Warakapola during Operation 'Yukthiya', on strict bail conditions.
The court has set him a bail of Rs. 30 milliom and seven surety bails of Rs. 1 million each, while his brother was released on a cash bail of Rs. 5 million and four surety bails of Rs. 1 million each.
The Additional Magistrate has ordered the suspects to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department and give fingerprints after receiving bail.
Kudu Roshan, who is detained in Boossa prison, has been presented to the court through Skype technology.
Prasad Ruwan aka Kudu Roshan, his younger brother and several others were arrested along with a luxury van, a car and drugs by the Warakopola Police last December 26 night.
Ten male, five women and 08 children were included in the arrested group.
On 28 January ill-gotten properties worth Rs.55 million allegedly owned by ‘Kudu Roshan’ were seized by the police from the Ja-Ela area.
Among the seized properties were an SUV and a plot of land.
