The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested a suspect who is said to be involved in setting fire to the house of the President Ranil Wickramasinghe during the ''Aragalaya' in 2022.
Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said that a 30-year-old resident of Kotadeniya area was arrested.
He said that the arrested suspect is an employee in a private company.
President Wickremasinghe's private residence in Cambridge Terrace was set on fire on July 9, 2022.
