Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket's Selection Committee Pramodya Wickramasinghe, has been called to testify today at 2:00 pm before the Special Investigation Unit for the Prevention of Misconduct related to Sports.

He was called to the concerned unit tomorrow (22nd) at 9.00 am. But, the Chairman's appearance was expedited at his request.

This summons follows a complaint by the Ministry of Sports, prompting an investigation into matters raised in Wickramasinghe's controversial press release issued on the 13th, post-World Cup defeat.

The press release implicated individuals in match-fixing and alleged significant financial investments in social media campaigns aimed at undermining the integrity of cricket.
