Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe informed Parliament today that officials from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) are making efforts to withdraw $2 million from the Bank of Ceylon Independence Square.
Expressing concern over such actions, he urged the Speaker to intervene and take measures to impound the passports of the implicated SLC officials.
Responding to this revelation, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa called on the Speaker to seek instructions from President Ranil Wickremesinghe, urging all banks to freeze the accounts associated with Sri Lanka Cricket.
