Sujith Bandara Yatawara's body, a victim of ongoing Gaza Strip conflicts, has been transferred to an airline for repatriation to Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel Nimal Bandara said.
The Sri Lankan Embassy conducted religious rites to pay final respects before the body's handover.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sri Lankan Embassy officials, along with Ambassador Nimal Bandara and Sri Lankan residents in Israel, gathered at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel to pay their last respects to Yatawara.
