A 42-year-old man has died following a shooting incident in the Mayadunna area of Ampara.
The incident occurred last night (Nov. 06) while the victim was bathing behind his residence, where an assailant fatally shot him.
It is reported that a dispute over a paddy field serves as the suspected motive behind the shooting.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted following a magisterial inquest into the death. Authorities have identified the perpetrator, and the Bandaraduwa Police have launched investigations to arrest the suspect.
