The body of Anula Jayathilake, a Sri Lankan national who tragically lost her life in the Hamas-Israel conflict, has returned to Sri Lanka, according to airport sources.
This morning, a flight carrying the remains of Anula Jayathilake arrived in Sri Lanka.
In a significant gesture, the Israeli government has recognized the foreign casualties, including Sri Lankans who served in their country during the Hamas-Israel conflict, as Israeli nationals. Consequently, the Israeli government has taken the responsibility of bearing their funeral expenses.
