The Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera, has announced that the proposals for restructuring the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers next week.

This comes as part of the government's efforts to expedite the restructuring of public institutions and address the current economic crisis.

The restructuring of the CEB aims to reform its management structure and promote renewable energy generation in Sri Lanka.

The government plans to collaborate with both public and private sectors to achieve this goal. On April 17th, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposed roadmap and timeline for the CEB restructuring process.
