The National Building Research Organization has further extended the landslide warnings that were imposed in several areas of 10 districts.
A new landslide warning has been issued for several areas in the districts of Badulla, Ratnapura, Galle, Hambantota, Kandy, Kegalle, Matale, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura until 03:00pm tomorrow 18th.
The public have been asked to pay attention on certain pre-landslide signs, such as the development of cracks on the ground or cracks in the floors or walls of buildings which are constructed on slopes.
