Sri Lanka Army troops arranged transport facilities for 22 students in flood-affected areas who were to sit for the Grade 5 Examination at six schools

On the instructions of General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division Major General R.A.J.N Ranasinghe, troops of 61 Infantry Division and 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment provided transportation using Army’s Uni-Buffels, Boats, Cabs and Trucks for the students, Army Media reported.

In the meantime, Ven Kahagolle Somarathana Thero of Sidhuhath Foundation, Galle provided 200 sanitary napkin packets and 1000 drinking water bottles for 242 members of 72 flood-affected families who are temporarily residing at Hittetiya Rajamaha Viharaya in Matara, the report stated.
