Sri Lanka's captain, Dasun Shanaka, will not be able to play in the upcoming World Cup match against Australia due to a quadriceps injury.
It is unclear whether Shanaka will be able to continue participating in the tournament, as selectors are contemplating replacing him with Chamika Karunaratne in the World Cup squad.
However, a final decision has not yet been reached. In Shanaka's absence, vice-captain Kusal Mendis is expected to take on the role of captain for the match against Australia
