Red notices of landslide warnings imposed for the 3 districts extended
NBRO states that the red notices of landslide warnings imposed for the 3 districts of Galle, Matara and Kalutara have been extended until 2 pm today.
The National Building Research Organization has issued red notices for 11 Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the respective districts.
NBRO had issued warning notices about the risk of landslides for several divisional secretariats in Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy and Ratnapura districts.
It is reported that due to the current heavy rains, the flood conditions that occurred in the vicinity of Nilwala, Kalu, Ging, Attanagalu Oya are still present.
The water levels in some areas have shown a slight decrease and the red notice issued by the Irrigation Department to the people on both sides of the Nilwala River has been declared to be in effect.
