A total of 37 individuals, including schoolchildren, have sustained injuries in two separate head-on collisions this morning in Kuliyapitiya and Nittambuwa.
According to the police, in Kuliyapitiya, a school bus collided with another bus at Karantippala, resulting in 15 students being injured. These injured students have been taken to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment.
In Nittambuwa, an accident involving a passenger bus, a container truck, and a fuel bowser has left 22 people injured.
The incident occurred in Kajugama on the Colombo-Kandy main road. These injured individuals have been admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital.
