Foll adverse weather conditions, the Sri Lanka Navy has mobilized its flood relief teams in Akuressa, Athuraliya, Thawalama, and Kamburupitiya areas in the Southern Province. These teams are currently actively engaged in providing assistance to the flood-affected individuals in these regions.
Due to the flooding in the Kamburupitiya area of Matara district caused by the overflowing of the Nilwala river and Kirambaara, the Navy relief teams are providing essential transportation via dinghy for individuals with various medical conditions.
Moreover, the Navy stands prepared to offer assistance to individuals affected by the threat of flooding caused by the inclement weather conditions.
