As the inclement weather is looming, the Sri Lanka Navy deployed relief teams in certain areas in the Southern Province, to provide assistance and support to those who may be affected by flood.
Accordingly the Southern Naval Command has dispatched a relief team to various areas in the Southern Province, including Galle, Akuressa, Athuraliya, and Thawalama. Additionally, two teams have been stationed in Kamburupitiya, ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient response.
Furthermore, the Navy has readied additional relief teams on standby, ready to be mobilized as needed, to provide aid to the general public in the event of flooding.
