A train derailment reported on the coastal railway line this morning 27th September.
The derailment has taken place between Kollupitiya and Fort railway stations.
Trains are running only on one route on the coastal route, where priority has been given to the trains running towards Colombo, the railway control room said.
The work of repairing the track for train running has already started.
Sri Lanka Railway request the public to use alternate means of transport until the situation is rectified.
