The Homagama police conducted a raid in response to complaints of minors engaging in sexual activities within small enclosed rooms situated in a garden owned by a private institution in Homagama.
Police said during the raid, they found 24 couples inside these cabins.
This raid was carried out based on a search warrant obtained from the Homagama Magistrate's Court after several parents visiting the park with their families and religious leaders had made complaints after observing that school-aged children were using the cabins inappropriately.
The police advised the underage teenagers and subsequently released them to their parents after summoning them to the police station.
