President Ranil Wickremesinghe has returned to Sri Lanka today after completing his official trip to the United States.
The purpose of his visit was to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Before heading to the US, President Wickremesinghe first traveled to Cuba on September 13. There, he addressed the G77+China Leaders' Summit, which focused on the role of science, technology, and innovation in current development challenges.
The summit took place from September 15 to 16 in Havana. After his participation in the G77 and China Summit, President Wickremesinghe then proceeded to New York to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly
