Sachithra Senanayake, a former Sri Lankan national cricketer, has had his remand extended until September 25th by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.
Senanayake was arrested by the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Sports Ministry on charges of match-fixing during the 2020 Lanka Premier League.
The Attorney General has objected to the release of the suspect on bail.
