Sachithra Senanayake, a former Sri Lanka national cricketer, has been remanded until September 15 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.
Senanayake was arrested following his surrender to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Sports Ministry.
The arrest is in connection with allegations of match fixing during the Lanka Premier League in 2020.
