The Ministry of Health has made the decision to seek public input on the drug procurement process.

To address concerns related to the purchase of quality medicines and medical equipment, a committee has been appointed to investigate the matter.

The Ministry of Health has emphasized that all parties are invited to submit their opinions, suggestions, and recommendations regarding the drug procurement process. Written submissions must be sent to the Ministry of Health by September 13, 2023.

In order to introduce a transparent procurement system, ensure a continuous supply of high-quality drugs, and propose reforms for the National Medicines Regulatory Authority, the Cabinet of Ministers has appointed a five-member expert committee.

The committee will submit its final report within three months. Prior to compiling the report, public input will be obtained, giving individuals and organizations the opportunity to express their opinions on the matter, as stated by the Ministry of Health.
