Three persons have died in an accident involving a van and two lorries along the A9 road in Maankulam, today.
Police said a van heading towards Jaffna from Colombo collided with a parked lorry.
Eight others who sustained injuries were admitted to the Maankulam Hospital.
The Maankulam police are investigating the accident.
