One person was reported dead in the fire that broke out at a chemical factory in Kandana.
Ragama hospital spokesman said that 50 school children of the near by school have been hospitalised due to respiratory complications due to the smoke of the fire.
Two fire brigade vehicles which arrived at the location and the fire is now under control .
