Air Arabia Abu Dhabi received the Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) on Thursday (Aug 03). This certificate was awarded after Air Arabia Abu Dhabi met all the necessary technical and operational requirements as outlined by the government's policy to increase foreign airlines' access to operate flights to Sri Lanka.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi received the Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) on Thursday (Aug 03). This certificate was awarded after Air Arabia Abu Dhabi met all the necessary technical and operational requirements as outlined by the government's policy to increase foreign airlines' access to operate flights to Sri Lanka.
The Director General of Civil Aviation & Chief Executive Officer (DGCA & CEO), P. A. Jayakantha, presented the FAOC to Shibin Nazeem, the Accountable Manager & Sales Manager of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi.
The application from Air Arabia Abu Dhabi underwent a thorough evaluation by the Civil Aviation Inspectors of CAASL. This evaluation considered factors such as organizational structure, staff qualifications and training, equipment and instruments, ground handling arrangements, and other necessary facilities and documents required for certification. P. A. Jayakantha, the DGCA & CEO, provided guidance throughout the process, with the leadership of Saman Gunawerdena, the Deputy Director General (Flight Safety Regulations) of the CAASL.
