The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) has extended landslide early warnings issued for several areas in five districts until 4.00 p.m. tomorrow (06).
Accordingly, Level 2 warnings have been issued for Passara in Badulla District; Minipe and Udadumbara in Kandy District; Dehiowita in Kegalle District; and Ambanganga Korale, Matale and Rattota in Matale District.
Meanwhile, Level 1 warnings are in effect for Udapalatha in Kandy District; Bulathkohupitiya and Rambukkana in Kegalle District; and Weligepola, Eheliyagoda, Ratnapura, Kuruwita and Ayagama in Ratnapura District.
The NBRI has advised residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions due to the risk of landslides.
