Two Sri Lankan contestants left the country early today (24) from Bandaranaike International Airport to participate in international beauty pageants.
Sandipa Sewmini will represent Sri Lanka at the Miss Asia Pacific International 2026 pageant, while Nimesha Premachandra will compete in the Mrs Tourism 2026 pageant.
The Miss Asia Pacific International pageant, featuring contestants from around 50 countries, is scheduled to be held in Cebu, Philippines, from today until October 10.
The Mrs Tourism 2026 pageant, with contestants from 32 countries, will be held from today until October 2.
National Director of both pageants Rukmal Senanayake and relatives of the two contestants were present at the airport to wish them success.
