The inaugural ceremony of a new educational scholarship programme introduced by the President’s Fund for the children of low-income lottery sales agents will be held tomorrow (23) at 2.00 p.m. at the Anuradhapura Provincial Council Auditorium.
The ceremony will be held under the patronage of Speaker Dr Jagath Wickramaratne.
The scholarship programme, which will commence in 2026, has been introduced as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude to lottery sales agents for their contribution to the President’s Fund through lottery sales.
Under the programme, educational scholarships will be provided to schoolchildren from Grade One through the Advanced Level.
The initiative will benefit eligible children across all provinces of the country, providing support for their education and recognising the important financial contribution made by lottery sales agents to the President’s Fund.
The programme is expected to provide valuable educational assistance to children from low-income families while further strengthening the President’s Fund’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
