The management of The Blue Water Hotel & Spa has denied any involvement in the deaths of four dogs found near the hotel premises, amid allegations circulating online that stray dogs in the area were deliberately poisoned.

In a statement, the hotel said the dogs were discovered outside its boundary wall, near the staff gate, and were never on hotel property or under the care of the hotel.

The management said hotel staff were the first to discover the deceased animals and immediately informed the Police and the Public Health Inspector (PHI).

The hotel has also said it is fully cooperating with the authorities as investigations into the incident continue.

The deaths have sparked allegations on social media that several stray dogs seen roaming the road near the hotel on the night of August 19 were poisoned and killed. However, the hotel urged the public not to draw conclusions before official findings are released.

“We are deeply concerned by the incident and share the concerns of the local community,” the management said, while calling for reliance on verified facts rather than speculation.

The hotel said it remains committed to transparency and will provide further information once authorities release their findings.

It also emphasized that animal welfare and maintaining the trust of the surrounding community remain important priorities for the hotel.
