Two inmates died and two others were injured following a clash between a group of inmates at Kuruwita Prison on Friday morning, according to Kuruwita Police.
The disturbance broke out inside the prison earlier today, leaving four inmates injured. Police said two of the injured later died from their injuries.
Prison authorities used tear gas to bring the unrest under control.
