Five districts affected by ongoing disaster situation; Five dead, two missing

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) says that the ongoing disaster situation has affected five districts across the country.

DMC Director and Media Spokesperson Pradeep Kodippili stated that a total of 1,881 people have been temporarily accommodated in nine safe shelters.

He further confirmed that five deaths and two missing persons have been reported so far as a result of the disaster.

Relief operations are continuing, with authorities working to provide assistance and support to the affected communities.
