The Colombo–Kandy main road has been temporarily closed between Kadugannawa and Ganethenna due to the risk of rocks falling onto the roadway, authorities announced.
Police have advised motorists to avoid the affected stretch and use alternative routes until further notice to ensure public safety.
Drivers are urged to follow traffic instructions and plan their journeys accordingly, as the road will remain closed until officials determine it is safe for travel.
